Public Speaking and Effective Business Presentation is a practice-oriented course designed to develop students’ ability to communicate ideas clearly, confidently, and effectively in academic, professional, and business contexts.
The course introduces students to the fundamental principles of public speaking and effective presentation, with particular emphasis on audience analysis, purpose, message organization, verbal and non-verbal communication, voice and delivery, visual communication, persuasion, storytelling, and audience engagement.
Students learn how to plan, structure, design, deliver, and evaluate professional presentations for different audiences and communication purposes. The course also addresses common challenges in public speaking, including speaking anxiety, ineffective delivery, information overload, inappropriate visual design, and difficulties in handling questions and audience interaction.
A central component of the course is learning by doing. Students participate in individual and group speaking activities, presentation practices, business communication exercises, peer-feedback sessions, and formal presentations.
The course ultimately aims to help students develop the ability to transform information and ideas into clear, purposeful, audience-centered, and professionally delivered presentations.
